Welcome — I’m Feona.
I’m a self-taught artist living in Port Coquitlam, BC, where I share life with my husband, our two teenage sons, and our sweet Labrador, Marley, who’s usually snoozing nearby while I paint.
My journey with painting began in 2017, during a challenging season when I pulled one of my sons from school. We started painting together as a way to slow down, reconnect, and shift the focus from school stress to something we both enjoyed. He’s since moved on to other interests, but for me, the painting never stopped.
I’ve always been drawn to creative work — I’ve run a wedding flower business, designed playgrounds, and dabbled in home interiors — but painting is where I’ve found the deepest sense of calm and meaning. Over time, what began as something personal and quiet has grown into something I now get to share with others.
My work is rooted in a love for sky and water — sometimes ocean, sometimes lake — always layered and peaceful. I paint to process, to breathe, and to hold space for softness in a world that often feels loud and fast. I’ve created over 100 pet portraits, especially for people wanting to remember a beloved companion, but lately my focus has shifted toward abstract landscapes and emotional storytelling through colour and texture.
When I’m not painting, I’m either walking Marley along the river, watching one of my boys play basketball or lacrosse, or doing laps around town as a full-time teenage chauffeur. I love all things home decor, creative projects, quiet mornings at the cabin, and finding beauty in small, ordinary moments.
Thanks so much for being here. I hope something in my work speaks to you — or at the very least, helps you take a long, deep breath.
