Inspired by the Sunshine Coast islands of BC, where land seems to hover between mist, sky, and sea. On a recent whale watching trip there, I was struck by the sight of humpback whales - creatures that carry such immense weight - soaring out of the water as if gravity didn’t apply.
In this piece, a sailboat and two kayaks cross the calm, a quiet echo of that same truth: even across something so vast, we are carried, held, and lightened.
