When I began this painting, I didn’t feel capable. Everything felt heavy - my thoughts, my body, my heart. I had no motivation and no confidence, and I didn’t feel like myself.
But I painted anyway. Not because I felt inspired - I didn’t - but because I needed to remember I still can. That even when life feels like too much, I can still show up and make something beautiful.
And somewhere between the brushstrokes, something shifted. The heaviness didn’t disappear, but it softened. I could breathe again.
That’s what this painting means to me. A reminder that no matter how hard things get, something beautiful still remains - within the world, and within me.
